Starlight Energy is based in San Jose and serves homeowners across the Bay Area — from Monterey and Santa Cruz up through Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Alameda, and Contra Costa, out to San Benito and San Joaquin.
We started this company because too many homeowners were getting solar quotes built on outdated assumptions — promises of tax credits that no longer exist, or savings math that ignored how California actually pays for exported power now. The rules changed, and a lot of the industry didn’t update its pitch.
So we do it differently. We design every system around the current reality: high local rates, the Net Billing Tariff, and the fact that a battery — not endless exporting — is what makes solar worth it today. You get an honest assessment, a written proposal with the numbers spelled out, and no pressure to sign on the spot.
